Collective defence
At community scale
Our flagship. The collective version combines four main lines of action:
- Preventive and self-protection planning: assess the risk and design solutions for each scenario; decide what to do, how, when and with which resources.
- Preventive silviculture and fire-smart gardening: manage the surrounding vegetation and gardens so that the edges of villages, homes, industrial sites or tourist areas become a line of defence.
- Infrastructure and sensors: water tanks, cannons that irrigate the perimeter, green firebreaks and wireless sensor networks that monitor the risk and the effect of prescribed irrigation.
- Training and drills: know what to do so that the risk never materialises (prevention) and what to do if it does (self-protection).
