Sustainability

Sustainability is no longer an option: it is a necessity.

We approach projects in a cross-cutting, comprehensive and integrated way. A solution that does not combine respect for the environment, a social dimension and economic viability is not sustainable. We protect the land with work that respects its values and the concerns of the people who live there (and, naturally, that pays the bills).

We design fire defence systems based on first-rate environmental engineering: eco-hydrological silviculture to protect water and forest, fire-smart gardening, reclaimed water to keep firebreaks green with prescribed irrigation even in drought, and solutions adapted to climate change.

Professionalism

A committed, multidisciplinary team.

Behind WUIProtect® there is a team that looks for comprehensive, sustainable and functional solutions. We have collaboration agreements with universities and research groups in Spain and Europe, and agreements with professionals and technical teams that complement our expertise.

We work with Veolia, which contributes, among other things, solutions for producing reclaimed water for fire defence in populated areas.

Technological innovation

Engineering comes from ingenuity.

For more than 20 years we have introduced disruptive solutions that have earned national and international recognition, such as the 2012 United Nations Best Practice award in the catalogue of Cities for a More Sustainable Future.

We are responsible for the engineering of Europe’s largest wildfire defence system. We have our own operations platform, NETSense™, fed by a wireless network of sensors installed in the trees, and we have developed augmented and virtual reality solutions for training and mobile apps for managing wildfire emergencies.

We believe in empathy, cooperation and the common good. We work with communities, villages and teams, because together we are stronger. We care for rural areas and we work from them.
