ONU provides the International Recognition

​Torrent, a town in Valencia, has been recognized as Best Practice in the Ninth International Competition for the United Nations in Dubai, by the project of prevention of forest fires in the neighborhood of El Vedat. With the name "Sustainable management of the wildland-urban interface on El Vedat" the town hall and MediXXI - GSA have implemented a pioneering system of fire management in this densely populated area. At the convocation, only 14 practices of 387, have earned the Best Practice for sustainable development. The ONU international tribunal recognizes Torrent contribution to improving the quality of life and sustainability of the residential area.
